The atmosphere and service here are wonderful. You do sit pretty close to other tables, so understand that it can get loud when they are busy. The prices are great as well. Oddly I'd just like to warn people that the flooring is very slick, especially when in heels or dressy shoes. They bring out fresh warm bread and real butter for you. It's large soft white bread very similar to the homemade bread you get in Amish Country. It was not what I'd expect at an Italian restaurant, although it was very good. We ordered the Italian egg rolls for an appetizer, and they were amazing. They were on the "specials" menu and you'll receive two of them for $5. We both got salads first. A regular side salad and caesar side salad. Both were great. For main dishes we ordered chicken parmesan and lasagna. We both agreed that our main dishes seemed to lack a lot of flavor though. I'll also note they have regular shaker parmesan cheese on the table and do not offer freshly shaven for your dishes. As both dishes tasted rather bland and the chicken was pretty dry, overall nothing seemed to stand out for us as an Italian restaurant. I really wanted to love this one, but unfortunately the food just missed the mark.

My official rating for this place is a 7. The reason for the 7 is that is the number of individuals who either recommended this location, or said "great choice" when I told them where we went. My wife and I were in town for a long weekend. Seeing friends, the NFL and Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame, and needing a meal. We were at a bar on Friday and the staff recommended this place for Italian (2). Then we were out for lunch on Saturday and two sisters told us to go here for Italian (4). When we got back to our hotel later that evening and told the bartender where we went we got "great choice" (5) Finally, to check this out fully, we asked for a recommendation for an Italian meal while out at a sports bar watching football. "I would say Palombo's" came two responses (7). It was crowded and a seating was tight, but the food was excellent, the drinks served quickly, and the staff both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife and I have a solid selection of good Italian restaurants in New Jersey to pick from. Being able to find a good find like this in Ohio is about as good of a recommendation as we can make.

I've never had a bad experience at Palombo's. The foods always cooked well, and the environments cozy. The staff gets frustrated sometimes, but that's anywhere.
